Navigating Teach Starter

First time using Teach Starter? Check out an introduction to our website here.

First things first

When you first log in you'll come to our home page.

There are two key components to get started in using our system:

  • Our Global Search Bar, and

  • Our Global main menu

Global Search Bar

Searching within Teach Starter is easy. You can search Teach Starter for resources, just like you can search for websites on a search engine (e.g. Google or Bing).

To start a search, enter a keyword (e.g. "maths") in the search bar on the Teach Starter homepage. A shortlist of possible search solutions will begin to appear. Either select from this list, or press the enter key (or return key) to view all options. The search bar is located at the top of any page on the Teach Starter site.

Here are some other articles about our Global Search Bar:

Main Menu

The main menu is a horizontal menu across the top of the screen that includes a number of methods for searching through our resources, among other features. This includes:

  • Resources

  • Learning Areas/Subjects

  • Year Levels/Grades

  • Topics

Did you know you we also have blogs, webinars, and a podcast? Head over to "Content" sitting to the right of the Global search bar, and select from the drop down menu that appears.
